The story of Dealers in Drive began long before it had a name.

Around seven years ago, Linda was working as an Operations Manager for a Buy Here Pay Here dealership, dealing firsthand with the challenges that dealership teams face every day: phones that never stop ringing, customers who need follow-up, collections that require consistency, appointments that need to be set, and an in-house team already stretched thin.

She began experimenting with something that, at the time, was far less common in the automotive industry: remote support.

What started as a practical solution quickly became something much bigger.

Linda saw that the right remote professionals could become a genuine extension of a dealership's team. They could answer calls professionally, build friendly relationships with customers, follow up consistently, assist with collections, schedule appointments, and take care of essential daily tasks — all without sitting inside the dealership.

And it worked.

Then came the bigger idea.

If remote professionals could make such a meaningful difference for one dealership, why couldn't other dealerships benefit from the same model?

That question became the foundation for Dealers in Drive.

By 2024, Dealers in Drive was already working with talented professionals throughout Latin America, connecting dealerships with experienced remote team members while developing a model built specifically around the realities of automotive operations.

But the idea was never simply to provide “virtual assistants.”

It was to understand what a dealership actually needs, find professionals capable of doing that work, and build a remote team that feels connected to the dealership it supports.

Today, Dealers in Drive continues that same vision: helping dealerships build stronger operations with experienced remote professionals who can support customer service, business development, collections, service departments, administrative operations, and more.
